Time...

When thinking about booking a session for someones Birthday or Anniversary, please allow time.
We don't print straight from the camera, instead we manually adjust and retouch EVERY photograph purchased.
This takes time.
We also have all our photographs printed by a professional lab, we don't expect our customers to settle for anything less, we won't.
This takes time.
Remember we are a very busy studio, because people love our work, so it does take time to do the best!
While we can complete work if needed fast, this holds everyone else's up.
So if you are thinking about surprising someone with a family portrait, book now...

Weather!

Wasn't the weather appalling this morning?

We went to set up for the Wedding Fayre at the Hilton Metropole, and got drenched just unloading the car!

It was a little quieter than normal in the morning, but the afternoon picked up and we had a very busy day...

This was our last one until next year, having just done four in a row, I'm looking forward to next Sunday off! Mind you it will soon be getting very busy for Portraits (Christmas is only 7 weeks away!!!) so back to Sundays again.

Charmandean Wedding Fayre

What a great day!

Boy our feet hurt... But we had some great people through the doors today, Maria came with me today as the show is so busy I can't always speak to everyone.

A lot of future Brides (and their friends) interested in the Boudoir photography.

While we never try to book anyone at the shows (I feel it's too much pressure to put on people) we have got a lot contacts to make next week!

Jenny and Tracey (whose wedding I photographed 2 years ago) at Stylish Events always organise and advertise them well.

Look forward to next week at Cisswood House

Wedding Fayre

All set up with an hour to go... Time to relax before the floodgates open, looking forward to it!

Lots to do...

What a busy week, and the weekend is busier!

Unfortunately the calendar idea was dropped by the school as they couldn't find anyone to print them at a price they could sell them for a reasonable amount, and still make some money for the school. Great shame, I was really looking forward to it.

Fully booked in the studio today, lots of portraits. I went to a seminar mid week and have lots of new ideas to try...

Tomorrow (Sunday) my first wedding fair of the season at Charmandean, Worthing. If your getting married, pop along and have a chat, I look forward to seeing you...

Time to get moving!

Wedding

Just did some great photographs of Sarah and Robert who are getting married tonight!
They both attend the Coptic Orthodox Church in Davigdor Road and do things a little different, I love different...
They married within the law a few days ago but this evening they marry at their church and then party, stopping off here first for some photographs!

I wish them lots of luck for the future

Wedding at Herstmonceux Castle

I have been so busy shooting portraits over the last few days I forgot to say how brilliant the wedding at Herstmonceux went!

The weather was unbelievable, not in the way I expected, but glorious sunshine ALL day as you can see in the photos...

Weather

Wow, wasn't the weather wierd today in Brighton & Hove. One minute it was really sunny, the next the rain was so hard it hurt!
Then it did it again!!!

One poor lady, who was coming in for a passport of her 4 month old baby, phoned and cancelled as she was trapped in her car across the road and didn't think she could make it...
Then the weather changed, she popped in just before we closed, and we got a great photo.

I have a wedding to photograph tomorrow (Friday) at Herstmonceux Castle (one of my favourite Sussex locations) so I will definately have a plan 'B' just in case, but it would be kind of cool to get some great 'weather' shots as well, just not all day!

One from last year

We have just had a re-order, from the Brides Mum, for this photograph. I think it's great fun...

We don't tend to do so many garter shots now, but we will if asked!

Why use a professional wedding photographer

I had an interesting conversation with Peter who was advising me on advertising in two wedding dress brochures (both companies had requested me to be in their brochures) one for Opulence and Grace in Worthing, the other for Patricia Diamond in Shoreham.

We were talking about why you would want to hire a professional photographer and how would I convey that in an advert. I said that in the past I have had quite a few brides come in to the studio asking if there was anything I could do to improve their wedding photographs that had been taken by friends or part time photographers (which, unfortunately, there is not usually much that can be done).

He said "The dress is for a day, venue is for a day, cars are for a day, cake is for a day but the Photographs are for a lifetime..."

How true...

Just a shame about todays weather...
